Biome Battles

Biome Battles brings 1v1 PvP to the Taiga, Ice Spikes, Desert, and Birch Forest, each with 3 unique minigames. In each duel, you battle with various weapons, armors, and abilities. Compete with rivals or play casual with your buddies.

The 1.8 vs 1.9 combat debate is a real fault line in the community. Biome Battles doesn't ask you to pick a side. It gives you both. Each gamemode utilizes the combat system that best fits the game’s mechanics delivering the best experience for both combat versions.

For over a decade, the Minecraft community has been split down the middle. 1.8 purists swear by its raw, fast-paced clicking. 1.9 defenders prefer the strategy of cooldown-based combat. Neither side has ever really budged, and Biome Battles isn't here to change that. Instead, this map's entire foundation is built around proving both versions can shine.

Each gamemode in Biome Battles runs on whichever combat system fits its mechanics best. High octane showdowns utilize 1.8's quick and intuitive dueling system.
